I'm not sure where everyone else is in the devotional, but I just finished reading day 6, and was impressed by the importance of the message in 1 Corinthians 15:58 "...be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." Unfortunately, I have known too many people, who I loved very much, give up on the "steadfastness" part. It was a loss to me as well as to the Body of Christ. But on the other hand, it was an example to me of how possible it is to fall for the lie of the "father of lies." What it did to me was make me renew my resolve to not let my work in the Lord be about me and my feelings, but about Him and the promise of seeing Him one day. Who am I without Christ anyway? Nothing. I remember very well what it was like before I knew and served Him, and I don't want to go back there, no matter how many disappointments come my way in my service for Him.
